Hope is strong medicine
Compassionate and neurodivergent-affirming counseling for burnout and chronic illness
For the deep feelers…
Living is a stormy business. Any given day can bring tidal waves of grief, howling winds of uncertainty, torrential rains of anger. Sometimes it is hard to hold fast in the midst of it all. Feelings, however, are not the enemy. They might actually be your greatest allies.
If you consider yourself to be someone who feels deeply or is deeply affected by the things that happen around you, then we might be a good fit.
Sensitivity has a reputation as something unwanted by most - something that begets weakness and fragility, leaving you prone to injury. But I have another view.
Sensitivity means you have an innate ability to connect deeply with the world around you. And watching people learn to embrace that ability is an incredible thing to behold.
This is a space for learning how to live in sensitive bodies. Welcome.
Hi there, I’m Kate.
I am passionate about helping people discover what living well means for them.
A lifetime of living with chronic illness has helped me connect deeply with self-compassion and creativity. I believe it is these qualities that make me an effective counselor at working with chronic burnout and the complexities that create it.
I enjoy travel, photography, making things, and watching plants (and people) grow. My work calls together the wisdom of lived experience, well-timed teachers and mentors, and years of dedicated study on neurodivergence, the mind/body connection, and the effects of trauma on daily living.
